Hey there, Sonh! I'm glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question. I've changed plenty of park pass reservations recently and I am here to help you out!
Sonh, first, let's take a look at the Walt Disney World
availability calendar to make sure that there are
park pass reservations available for what you are hoping to change to. The calendar is broken down into three categories - Guests with a Walt Disney World Resort Stay, Guests with Theme Park Tickets only and Annual Passholders. You'll want to make sure you are viewing the calendar that pertains to you because they all do have different availability. After you've made sure that there is indeed theme park availability, the next step is to log into your
MyDisneyExperience account. You can do this online or via the mobile app. Once you are logged in, you'll scroll down to the section titled, "My Plans, Reservations & Tickets". You'll see the plans you've made listed out day by day. On the day you are wanting to change your park pass reservation, you are going to select the button "View Details". This will pull up your park pass reservation and there will be an option to cancel this reservation. There isn't a way to currently change a park pass reservation so for this process we are actually going to cancel it and make a whole new one. So go ahead and select the option to cancel this park pass reservation. Once that is done, you can head straight over to the park pass reservation website. You'll go through the same steps as you did before choosing your party, the date and Walt Disney World Theme Park you want to visit. If all goes well you'll be given a confirmation and you'll be good to go. That park pass reservation should now also show up on your MyDisneyExperience account.
If you are unable to secure a park pass reservation for a park that you are really wanting to visit due to capacity limitations, you can always upgrade your park ticket to include the
park hopper option. Park hopping is when you can visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. To park hop, you still need to make a park pass reservation for the first park you'd like to visit each day and enter that theme park. Park hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m. and this would be a great time to hop over and visit that theme park that you couldn't make an initial park pass reservation for. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised just how much you can accomplish on your must-do list from 2:00 p.m. until the park closes.
Sonh, I hope this helps you change out your park pass reservation. If you have any other questions about this or something else regarding your Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
