Hey there, Tiffany. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question.
I, too, often switch my itinerary plans around during the planning phase of a
Walt Disney World vacation. Whether it be a dining reservation conflict or theme park hours have changed, it always seems I am moving something around. Currently, there isn't an option to modify your
Disney Park Pass Reservation. What I suggest doing is looking at the
availability calendar to make sure that the
Walt Disney World Theme Park that you are wanting to switch to has availability. If you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel during your vacation, more than likely what you are wanting to switch to will have availability. I've never had problems switching when staying on Walt Disney World property. Then, if you decide to switch, you'll need to first cancel your original park pass reservation. You can do this under the "My Plans" section of your
MyDisneyExperience account. After you've canceled, you'll need to head over to the
Disney Park Pass Reservation section of the Walt Disney World website and reserve what you are wanting from there. I'd recommend doing the process one day at a time, in case something were to fill up so you don't lose all of your reservations.
If, on the off chance, you aren't able to switch days around, keep in mind that you are able to park hop now.
Park hopping just returned to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks as of January 1 and I am so thrilled. It looks a little bit different right now, but I'll take it.
Here's what to expect if you want to park hop:
- You need valid Walt Disney World Theme Park admission with the park hopper option
- You are required to make a Disney Park Pass Reservation at a specific park
- You'll need to scan into that first park
- At 2:00 p.m. and after you are able to switch to any of the other theme parks as long as they aren't full due to capacity limitations
- You are able to hop to more than one park in a day given there is availability due to capacity limitations
- You do not have to make a second (or third) park pass reservation for the park you'd like to hop over to.
I think that could be a really great option for you if you aren't able to get things switched around like you'd hoped. I hope this helps, Tiffany. If you have any other questions, please stop by and ask. Happy planning!
