Hello, Ashley! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Disney knows that itineraries often change and because of this the park pass reservation system is flexible. While there isn't necessarily an option to "change" a
park pass reservation, you can cancel the old one and then make a park pass reservation. First and foremost, I would check the
Walt Disney World Theme Park availability calendar to see if there is availability at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The calendar is broken down into three categories - Guests with a resort stay, theme park ticket holders only and Annual Passholders. Be sure you are viewing the calendar that most pertains to you because they do have different availability. If Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park has spots available and you are absolutely sure you want to make the switch, the first step is to log in to your MyDisneyExperience account. Once there, scroll down until you see your itinerary under the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. Next to the day that you had selected Disney's Hollywood Studios you'll see a blue outlined button that says "View Details" and you'll want to select that. This will take you to a page where you should see the option to cancel your existing park pass reservation. To make the change, you will need to cancel your selection. Once you do that, head straightaway to the park pass reservation website. You'll select your travel party, the date and the theme park that you'd like to visit. If all goes well you'll then be taken to a confirmation page and your MyDisneyExperience account should be updated with the new park pass reservation.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is an extremely popular theme park right now and it can be hard to secure a park pass reservation sometimes. If you think you have any desire to visit, I'd contemplate keeping your park pass reservation (unless you have another one on a different day). Disney's Hollywood Studios is a lot of fun and home to some of my most favorite attractions. If you are a Star Wars fan, and even if you aren't,
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is an incredible land to experience. However, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is a lot of fun too. I love visiting
Pandora - The World of Avatar and taking a ride on the back of a banshee.
Ashley, whichever park you decide to visit I know you will have a fabulous day. There are no bad choices when choosing between those two. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. Have fun!
