Hey there, Tammy. I always get so excited to see a fellow North Carolinian here at planDisney!
Tammy, I've had my fair share of changing my itinerary around too since Walt Disney World opened last summer. It's a pretty easy process to do, however, there isn't necessarily a "change" option. What I suggest doing first is to take a look at the
Walt Disney World availability calendar to make sure there is park availability for the date and park you'd like to visit. I did take a quick look for June 16th and it does show there is still some availability. After you've confirmed that there is park availability, you'll want to log into your
MyDisneyExperience account. Once there, you'll scroll down until you see your daily itinerary under the "My Plans, Reservations & Tickets" section. On the day you wish to switch park pass reservations to a different theme park, select the option to "View Details". There will be an option on that page to "Cancel Park Pass Reservations" and you'll need to go ahead and do that since there isn't an option to change it out. Once you've canceled your existing reservations, you can then head over to the
park pass reservation website and start the process over. You'll be able to choose your party, select the date and then pick the theme park you'd like to go to. If everything is available, you'll be taken to a confirmation page and then you should be able to see your new itinerary in your MyDisneyExperience account. I know it sounds like a lot of steps, but it's a really simple process to do and it should take you less than 5 minutes.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is one of my very favorites and I know you are going to have so much fun visiting. If you would like to experience the attraction
Avatar Flight Of Passage, which is one of the best at Walt Disney World, I recommend arriving at the theme park as early as possible. Transportation to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks from the Walt Disney Resort Hotels starts running 45 minutes prior to park opening. If you plan to drive yourself, the parking lots also open 45 minutes in advance. My suggestion is to be on that first bus or waiting in line right at that time. If you arrive that early, you'll basically be able to walk on one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World, saving yourself a ton of waiting time later in the day. I'm always amazed at how much we are able to cross off our must-do list when we arrive early.
Tammy, I hope you are able to switch around your park pass reservations with ease. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. Have fun!
