Hi there, Thalia,
Good idea! I usually recommend
Park Hopper tickets to maximize the magic at the Disneyland Resort. In fact, I just purchased Park Hopper tickets for a special Daddy-Daughter Disneyland Day we have planned.
The most straightforward way to upgrade
theme park tickets is to visit the main entrance ticket booths at the Disneyland Resort. However, when possible, upgrading beforehand is preferred. That’s because
theme park reservations are required and switching from 1-park-per-day tickets to Park Hopper tickets changes the ticket type, triggering a need to rebook new park reservations with the new ticket. I recommend reaching out to a Cast Member with the
Tickets phone line or the online chat (including in the
Disneyland mobile app) to inquire about options for upgrading a theme park ticket.
Tony’s Tip: When booking a theme park reservation for a Park Hopper ticket, you need only pick a starting park. When arriving early in the morning (which I definitely recommend) you will start your day at the park that is reserved. You may only
hop over to the other theme park after 11:00 AM. After that time, you may hop back and forth between the parks as much as you would like, subject only to park capacity limitations and the
parks’ hours for the day.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Thalia. Please feel free to visit us again at planDisney if you have any more questions.
