Can I change the number of people on a dining reservation that I have made?

Hiya James and welcome to planDisney!

Advanced Dining Reservations are the highlight of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for me. I love sitting with my friends and family and recapping our Disney adventures over a tasty meal. When my 60-day window opens it might as well be Christmas morning! Of course, plans can definitely change between the time you make all of those reservations and the moment you sit down with your knife and fork. I'm happy to help walk you through what to do when that need arises.

Changing the number of Guests in your dining party is super easy to do in the My Disney Experience app. Just open the reservation you want to adjust and tap the Modify icon. Ideally, you'll just need to add to or subtract from the Party Size, Select an Available Time, agree to the Guest Policies, and hit the Green Book Now button.

Pro-tip: When adding Guests, be aware that not all restaurants can accommodate more than a certain number in a single reservation. For example, 5 was my limit at Yak and Yeti Restaurant, and 6 at Oga's Cantina. If your party is too large, try making a totally separate reservation for the extra people from their My Disney Experience account for the same time slot and asking the Cast Members if you can be seated together or at least near each other.

James, have the best time ever on your vacation this October. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm happy to help!

    Happy planning!
