Greetings, Valerie, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like your plans have changed since purchasing your
Park Hopper tickets. I'm sorry about that! The good news is your Disneyland Resort tickets have some flexibility built in. Let's dive into the details.
Generally, a theme park ticket isn’t officially assigned until it’s used to enter the park. At that point, a Cast Member will take a photo of the Guest and link it to their ticket. That photo is used for verification when re-entering the park, rather than the name on the ticket. You don't typically need to update the name on a standard theme park ticket unless you prefer to do so.
Perhaps you want to change the name on the ticket to make it easier to know which ticket belongs to which person. It may also be a good idea to update the name on a
residency-based ticket that requires a government-issued photo ID to be shown for admission.
There are a few ways to update the name on a ticket, given that you're the original purchaser. As long as the ticket hasn't been used to enter a theme park, a Cast Member can usually help make the change. Here are some options:
- Call the Tickets phone line and speak with a Cast Member.
- Open the chat on the Disneyland mobile app. Tap the icon with the three lines (☰) and scroll down to the "Chat with Us" option under "Help & Feedback."
- You should also be able to do this in person at the ticket window to the left of the Disneyland entrance. The other ways may be quicker, though, and it would be more convenient to take care of it in advance.
Valerie, I hope you have a wonderful time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
