Hi! Do I have to change the name on an unused ticket if I want to transfer it to someone else?

    Hi there, Xilomen,

That's very kind of you to share the magic of the Disneyland Resort with someone else. I'm sure they will be very happy to enjoy a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!

In some cases, you may be able to call the tickets phone line to request that the name associated with a theme park ticket be changed. But it is usually not required. The name linked to a ticket can help identify who will be using which ticket. But it's usually only for the convenience of the Guests managing their tickets in the Disneyland mobile app.

Verification of the Guest using a ticket is done by automated systems of the new entry gates at the Disneyland Resort. When a ticket is first activated, the entry gates will take a photo of the Guest. Each time the Guest leaves and re-enters a park after that, the photograph taken at the time of activation will verify that only the same Guest can use the ticket afterward. That all happens regardless of the name associated with the park ticket.

Tony's Tip: Whether or not a Guest is the one who purchased their theme park ticket, they may still link their park ticket to their account in the Disneyland mobile app. That way, the Guest may use the app for gaining park entry, redeeming Lightning Lane return times, and even managing theme park reservations.

I hope that helps with your planning, Xilomen. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again.
