I have to change a name on my tickets how do I do that or does it not matter

Hi there, Mary! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!

Whozits and whatzits! You'll be arriving for your Walt Disney World Resort adventure this week. How excited are you right now? Just think - in a couple of days, you'll be rounding the corner of Town Square and Cinderella Castle will come into view. Sigh. Such a magical moment!

But while it can be a lot of fun making all those plans, sometimes things do change. It's pretty easy to reassign a ticket to a different Guest as long as the ticket hasn't been used yet. Your quickest option is to make the change on the My Disney Experience app on your phone. Just look for the three little horizontal lines at the bottom right of your screen and click there. Then click on the "Tickets and Passes" tile. That will show you all of the tickets linked to your account. Swipe through until you find the ticket you want to change and click on the "Reassign Ticket" prompt right underneath it. You can choose a Guest from your Family & Friends list or click on "Add a Guest" to manually enter the new user's info. And that should do it!

While it really is easy to just reassign your ticket, I actually think it's a good idea in your case to call Guest Relations and ask a Cast Member for help because I'm concerned that you'd lose any Disney Park Pass reservations associated with it. I took a look at the Availability Calendar for the upcoming week, and it's showing that all of the theme parks are booked up now. A Cast Member may have advice for making that change without losing your reservations.

And since we touched on the My Disney Experience mobile app, let's chat about some of the other ways it can be super handy in the parks! You can use it to check attraction wait times in real time, pinpoint where you are on the interactive maps, find the nearest restroom (very important!), and use the Mobile Ordering feature for a quick bite when those hunger pangs hit. And that's only the beginning! There are so many ways we use the My Disney Experience app, I don't know how we managed without it. It's a huge help for navigating your vacation!

I hope I was able to help you with some of those last-minute plans, Mary. Have an amazing time and please come back and see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
