Hey there, Cara!
I’m sorry to hear that someone isn’t able to go to the Disneyland Resort at this time. I’m glad you have someone else available to go in their place.
As long as a
theme park ticket is wholly unused, it is OK for it to be used by another Guest. To change the name on the
Disney eTicket, you may either call the
Tickets phone line or submit a request via chat on the
Disneyland mobile app.
If you are unable to have the name changed in time for your visit, you may also write the name of the other Guest on the ticket card that is printed at the theme park entrance. If the ticket is a
Southern California Residents 3-Day, Weekday Ticket, residency requirements for the user of the ticket will be verified at the first use of the ticket. The first use of the ticket is also when ticket holders have their photograph taken and digitally linked with the ticket. That photo will serve as positive identification of the actual ticket holder even if the name linked with the ticket doesn’t match.
Tony’s Tip: If you purchased the
Disney Genie+ service for your tickets or plan to purchase it after you arrive at the theme parks, you can use the service as usual to book
Lightning Lane return times. If you happen to split up your party at times, Genie+ plus will allow you to select the tickets of the Guests participating in the different attractions you may choose to experience. Even if the names don’t match up, you can keep track of tickets by the ticket numbers that are listed in the app and on the printed ticket cards.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Cara!
