Hi Amanda and welcome to planDisney!
Currently,
theme park reservations are required when visiting Walt Disney World and that can be done online in advance. It is understandable that plans change from time to time, but unfortunately, theme park reservations are non-transferable, so the Guest needing the reservation will need to make their own and if you no longer need the one you made, you can cancel it online.
To modify or cancel an existing theme park reservation, head over to your My Disney Experience account online. Hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab on the top right and click on "
My Plans". You will see a running list of your plans for all of your upcoming vacations, including your Disney Resort hotel,
dining reservations, special activities and theme park reservations. Scroll down to the reservation that you need to modify or cancel and click "Modify Reservation" on the right. You can choose which Guests you need to change and then follow the prompts.
Theme park reservations are subject to availability. If you see that your desired park is not available, I suggest choosing a different park for now and then continuing to check back to see if additional availability for the park you want pops up. Since Guests are always changing their plans, the available parks fluctuate throughout the day. You can easily check this using the
Theme Park Availability Calendar online. Just make sure you have the appropriate ticket type highlighted for
Theme Park Tickets, Select Resort Hotels (if you have a
Disney Resort hotel reservation) or
Annual Passes.
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
