how can I change the name of one of the guests staying at the resort? My daughters friend bailed on her and now she has to go alone, find someone else to go with her or cancel her entire trip. thanks.

Hey there, hi there, ho there Shelby and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

As unmagical as this situation is I know we can turn it around with a little pixie dust. Your daughter will have a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation because Mickey is expecting to see her real soon.

Disney Resort Hotel Package made through Disney and need changes requires a call to Disney Resort Hotel Reservations (407) 939-1936. Please explain the situation to the Cast Member (Disney lingo for employee). Here is what to expect.

You may change a Guest on the reservation up to two days prior to the check-in provided it is a Disney Resort Hotel Package and the person needing to be changed is not the lead Guest. The lead Guest is the primary contact on the reservation. There will be no associated fees with replacing your daughter's friend with another person or changing a name. Completely removing a Guest and not replacing them may carry a $50 change fee. If the reservation is completely canceled less than 30 days before hotel check-in then there is a $200 fee but the remaining balance of your payment is returned to you via the method of original payment. Once I had to cancel a reservation for Disney's Yacht Club Resort less than two weeks before my check-in date and Disney was kind enough to not charge us any associated fees and offered us a full refund.

Disney Dad Tip: Another option is to try and move the trip instead of canceling. Cast Members will be happy to assist in any way possible to help your daughter to get to the place "where dreams come true."

Shelby, I hope this helps your daughter make many Magical Memories.
