Hiya Leslye! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney today! We're always standing by ready to take on questions from Guests just like ourselves. Planning a Disney Vacation is a little more in-depth than just any old trip, but it is a lot more magical, too! I'd be happy to help you out.
Unfortunately, Leslye, once a
Magic Key Pass has been purchased, you cannot change the name assigned to it. Even if it has not yet been used, it is locked into the person whose name was assigned to the Magic Key Pass originally. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping to hear and I sure do hate to be the bearer of not-so-magical news. But for whichever Guest is assigned to the Magic Key Pass, they still have a full year of magic ahead of them!
If there is another friend or family member in your circle who would like to become part of the Magic Key Program, I'd suggest following the
Disneyland Magic Key Instagram Page and
Disney Parks Blog closely. I find that these two sources are the most reliable and share the most up-to-date information as soon as it is released! While we're not exactly sure when more Magic Key Passes will become available, I'll keep wishing upon a star that it happens soon! In the meantime, Guests can still
purchase single or multi-day tickets through the Disneyland Resort Website. As a California resident, I'd recommend keeping an eye on the
Special Offers & Discounts page to see if any discounts apply each time they visit, utilizing as many savings opportunities as possible until they're able to grab one of those coveted Magic Key Passes!
Have a magical day, Leslye!
