Hi Bernice Aimee!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're happy to have you as part of our clubhouse, especially because we get to chat about Disney cruises. No matter
which ship you are sailing, you can expect Disney Cruise Line to impress with
everything that's included! Even though you're making a change to an existing reservation, I'm happy you are still planning on sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey and pals.
I'm not certain if you booked directly with Disney Cruise Line, through a travel agent, or with Disney Vacation Club. That will make a difference on who you would have to contact with your request. And the bigger question is whether your reservation is one with restrictions or not. If the reservation has restrictions, then a whole different set of rules applies to that booking. Most restricted reservations are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Presuming your cruise reservation does NOT have any restrictions and you did it through Disney Cruise Line, then changing the named party on the reservation would have to be done by
calling Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532. Currently, if the name change is 45 days or more prior to your sailing, then there will be no charge associated with this update. If less than 45 days, a $50.00 per person charge would apply. Of course, Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to restrict any changes to a reservation, and all changes are subject to availability.
Sorry that's such a technical answer, but it's that way when we're talking about a
Cruise Contract! If your situation is something different, please send me a follow-up question, and I'd be happy to sleuth the answer down for you!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
