Can I change the meal plan (2026 holiday) for my 11 year old to a kids meal plan and save money (as she will not eat a full adult meal, so it would not be very good value for her)?

Hiya, James, and welcome to planDisney! It's so exciting that you're here with this awesome question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort holiday! Thank you for making us your go-to destination for vacation planning advice and information!

James, I have to tell you that, as a parent of a pre-teen Mouseketeer, I totally understand where you're coming from. My kiddo would often prefer to order off a kids' menu, and being considered an adult at Walt Disney World Resort is quite the change. At this time, Guests older than nine are considered adults, so your daughter would not be able to change her dining plan. Happily, many dining locations at the Most Magical Place on Earth offer meals that are friendly for picky eaters. You might also consider visiting restaurants that offer a buffet, so your daughter could choose from any of the offerings (even the ones meant for kids)!

Now is a great time to check out the menus for some of the restaurants you're considering, so you can be prepared when it comes time to place your order. You're always welcome to ask your Server about your options for ordering food that your daughter will enjoy.

James, I hope this is helpful to you as you count down the days to your visit! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!

    See ya real soon!
