Can I change who manages the accounts in my friends list?

Welcome to planDisney, Joline! Making plans with family and friends to visit the Walt Disney World Resort is my kind of magic, so I'm happy to help you navigate how to manage and connect plans to make sure everyone is involved in the fun!

Joline, once a My Disney Experience account is created on behalf of another guest, there is no way to directly change the account's manager, but I can offer a few suggestions that might help to make your planning practically perfect!

If you are trying to give someone access to manage his or her own account that is currently managed by another guest, if the guest is at least 13 years old, he or she can create a new My Disney Experience account and have the current manager transfer the existing account over to their new account. This is a great way to transfer any existing MagicBands that are already linked to a managed account and also any existing plans. To complete this process, follow these steps on your My Disney Experience mobile app:

-From your Family & Friends List, click on the managed profile and then select "Update"
-Enter the email address associated with the newly created account to send an invitation
-Once the invitation is accepted, the account will transfer directly to the guest who will now have ownership of his or her account and the ability to manage his or her own plans

If you are trying to have someone else on your Family and Friends List have access to manage plans for a guest under the age of 13, you will want to have the guest who currently manages that account accept a request to connect to the managed account. Once the guests are connected, they will have access to link plans to the managed account, so even if they are not the direct manager, they can still add the account to dining and resort reservations, Lightning Lane Passes, and even connect PhotoPass pictures!

Joline, I hope this helps! If you need another alternative, you can always reach out to a Cast Member at the My Disney Experience phone number to see if they can help you make any necessary changes to your existing accounts.
