Can I change a magic key pass into a different name if it hasn’t been activated yet?

Hi Kristina! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

Magic Key holders have increased access to the magic of the parks, great perks, and discounts, which make them extremely popular with Guests. I'm a Magic Key holder, and I love the dining discount. We're a family that really enjoys a special meal in one of our favorite dining locations at Disneyland Resort. In less than a month, we'll be celebrating my birthday at Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park. We can't wait!

Sometimes mistakes happen, and in the case of errors of spelling and typos, Cast Members may be able to change the name on your Magic Key before it is activated. To speak with a friendly Cast Member about an error on your Magic Key, please call the dedicated Magic Key Holders phone line. They will assist you in any way they possibly can. Just know that, according to the current Terms & Conditions of your purchase of a Magic Key, they're not refundable or transferable. Therefore, assigning the Magic Key to another person isn't possible.

The official Disneyland Magic Key blog is a great resource when you're planning your next park visit. Before we head out, I check to see what new fun things Magic Key holders can explore and enjoy. There's often a surprise in store! For example, starting April 7, 2026, there will be a poster available for a limited time for Magic Key holders, subject to change or cancellation. It celebrates one of the beloved Attractions in Disney California Adventure Park. Check it out!

    Have a magical day.
