Hello Brooke,
It's wonderful to see you here with us at planDisney. It's also wonderful to see you're making all your plans for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
It sounds like you have some exciting plans in mind for enjoying some delicious dining during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. When it comes to making dining reservations as you mention, I think you might be referring to the "Who Will Manage the Reservation?" feature that appears when
making a dining reservation in the website version of My Disney Experience. This feature would allow you to select a Guest from your
Family & Friends List to set up as the Reservation Contact. This feature does not currently appear in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, where the Primary Contact is automatically set up as the Guest signed in to their My Disney Experience mobile app account.
In making dining reservations online and in the mobile app, you would be able to modify the reservation by changing the date, time, or party size, and you'd be able to update the Guests on the reservation, other than the primary Reservation Contact which could not be changed after a reservation is booked.
One option you could consider is to have multiple Guests with their separate My Disney Experience accounts make reservations in the same time frame, and then request that the parties be seated near each other when you arrive and check in. Keep in mind, though, that this would be a request only, and that there wouldn't be a guarantee of seating location. Typically, the Cast Members at the restaurant are more than happy to try and accommodate requests for seating when it's possible for them to do so.
As you put your plans together for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog as a fun and helpful way to stay in the know about all the exciting experiences coming to the Walt Disney World Resort. I also encourage you to follow
@planDisneyPanel on Instagram to see the planDisney panelists share tips and updates from their own Disney destination experiences.
Brooke, here's wishing you a fun and wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today.
