Hi Cynthia,
You and your super six are going to the Walt Disney World Resort!
One hopefully helpful note to share is to think about theme park tickets and theme park reservations as two key pieces of your planning that work together. You need both a valid theme park admission ticket
and a valid theme park reservation to enter a Walt Disney World Resort theme park, and both the ticket and the reservation need to be valid for the same day.
When you
purchase your theme park tickets, you'll pick a first date for valid use. Theme park ticket pricing is date-based, and the pricing for tickets will vary based on the date you choose to visit. In completing the purchase, you'll have a chance to review the "Important Details" information where you'll read that you can make changes to your tickets, including the ticket dates, before midnight the day before first valid use date.
When you
make your theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system, you'll select the dates for which you want to make a reservation, and you'll select the theme park you want to visit. If you make reservations for tickets with the Park Hopper Option, you would first enter the theme park for which you made a reservation, and then you could hop to other parks beginning 2 p.m. based on park capacity.
The important note to emphasize about theme park reservations is that the reservation itself cannot be modified. What you can do is cancel an existing theme park reservation through the My Plans features in your
My Disney Experience account, and then make a new theme park reservation using the Disney Park Pass system.
You would want to be sure that new reservations are available for the dates you want to visit.
While you do not need to purchase theme park tickets and make theme park reservations all together, you do need to make sure that everyone in your party has a valid ticket and a valid reservation. My suggestion is to have those all set up in advance of your visit.
As for weather, Cynthia, my suggestion is to prepare to be comfortable in all sorts of different weather conditions. It could be sunny, pleasant, hot, humid, rainy, stormy, chilly, and more. For example, when we visit the theme parks, we always pack sun screen, rain gear, and some layers to warm up as needed.
Here's wishing you and your super six a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Jerry
