Welcome, Yvonne, to planDisney. We're so excited to have you here and hope you keep coming back to ask your
Disney vacation planning questions.
While
theme park tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, you can typically apply the amount that you paid for wholly unused tickets to a new ticket purchase. However, it's important to note that if your new tickets are more expensive, you will be required to pay the difference at the time of purchase, and if the new tickets are less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference. Check out the
Ticket Store Terms and Conditions for more information.
If you're not one hundred percent certain about the product you'd like to purchase but want to lock in your tickets, the safest option would be to start with the less expensive option. Then, you can add onto them if you decide at a later date that you want more days or to add the
Park Hopper Option.
If you are planning on purchasing a
vacation package, which includes both a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation and theme park tickets,
you currently can make changes or cancel your package for a refund (minus any third-party fees) 30 days or more before your arrival date. To make changes, you'd log into your MyDisney account, select "
My Plans" from the My Disney Experience dropdown menu, find your reservation, and click the "Change Reservation" link.
Yvonne, best wishes for planning your January vacation to the
Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to
check out the Special Offers page to see if any deals apply to your upcoming magical vacation.
Please don't hesitate to
reach out again if you have any other questions.
Most everyone's mad here,
Matt
