Welcome to planDisney, Caitlin!
I'm so glad you've found your way here and I'm happy to help answer your question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit. Can you believe that your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is less than a month away? After all that dreaming (and planning!) the wait is almost over!
But even with all the planning in the world, sometimes life gets in the way, doesn't it? That's why I'm happy to tell you that yes, you can change the starting date of the Walt Disney World theme park admission that you've already purchased in the event your plans need to change. In my opinion, here's the easiest way to make that happen:
1. Open up the
My Disney Experience mobile app on your phone and sign in to your My Disney Experience account.
2. Tap "Tickets and Passes" in the main menu.
3. Select the ticket you would like to change and tap "Change Ticket".
4. Select a new start date for your ticket on the calendar and follow the onscreen prompts to confirm the change.
And that's it! You'll be ready to hit the ground running once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. Just keep in mind, however, that the price of Walt Disney World theme park admission is based on its starting date. This means that if your ticket's new date is a higher-priced tier, you'll need to pay the difference in price between the ticket you originally purchased and your new start date in order to make the change. If this is the case, you'll be prompted onscreen to pay the difference as part of the checkout process.
Oh! One more thing –– once you have your new ticket dates all set, you'll also need to make new
Disney Park Pass reservations for your visit. You can quickly do this right from the My Disney Experience app by tapping on the "+" sign at the bottom of the screen and selecting "Make or Modify Park Reservations" from the pop-up menu.
I hope this helped to answer your question, Caitlin, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney. I'm wishing you lots of pixie dust during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
