Hiya Jana!
Welcome back again to planDisney! The countdown to your upcoming trip is now in the single digits and I'm sure you and your family are so excited. I love that you also secured the
Fantasmic! Dining Package!
Fantasmic! is one of my favorite shows and to have reserved seating for this show is crucial. Being central to the view of Moana as the water dances around her is everything you want in a perfect evening.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a great resource that has only improved with time with the creation of DAS Advance. I spoke to a lovely Cast Member at Guest Relations who explained to me the best strategy to help you. She highly recommended that you
not change the time of your Fantasmic! dining reservation as modifying that reservation could be complicated. She stated that it is much easier to change the DAS Advance selection. There are two ways this can be done:
1. Visit the
DAS Advance page and click on "Request Live Chat." As you proceed through the options two buttons will appear. One will say "Planning" and the other "Register." Just click on "Planning" and continue through the process. You should be able to make your adjustments from there.
2. If for some reason this doesn't work or you would like to talk to someone in person you can visit the Guest Experience Team members in
Disney's Hollywood Studios when you arrive that day. Look for the large blue umbrellas over Cast Members holding tablets and they can help move your DAS Advance reservation around as needed.
Fun tip: Before you enter Fantasmic! make sure to grab some snacks and drinks. There is a long pathway to walk from the Sunset Boulevard and while there is a snack stand at the end by the entrance to the show it can be daunting due to crowds. Having a treat on hand to enjoy while enjoying the show is the best. May I suggest the Candy Corn Milk Shake from
Hollywood Scoops on Sunset Boulevard? I tend to need some sugar to keep me going late into the evening and I am a candy corn enthusiast. In addition, I would make sure everyone takes a potty break beforehand as the show lasts about a half hour and once it is over there is a large exodus of people heading to the bathrooms all at once which as a mom, makes me nervous. Crowds and kids can be stressful but with good planning you will have no problems!
I hope this helps and if you have any questions, you know we are here for you!
Happy Planning!
