Ahoy, Kyp!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I completely understand wanting to swap out that check-in photo. When Online Check-In opens, many of us are racing through the process faster than Dash from The Incredibles so we can secure that perfect
Port Arrival Time. Sometimes that means using the first photo we can find on our phone, sunglasses and all.
The good news is that updating your photo is usually pretty simple. To update the photo for yourself or anyone in your travel party, head over to the Disney Cruise Line website and log into your reservation. Once you’re there, go to the
Online Check-In section and look for the “Pending Review” link next to your check-in status. Clicking that will take you back into the check-in process where you originally uploaded your documents and photos.
From there, select the “Guest Information” card and select the person whose photo you want to update. That’s where you should be able to upload your new photo and replace the one with the sunglasses. After saving the new picture, the system will resubmit it for review by the Disney team.
Once you’ve made the update, don’t worry if your check-in continues to show “Pending Review.” That’s completely normal. My crew and I actually have a sailing coming up in the next few weeks, and our status hasn’t been finalized yet either. Sometimes those approvals don’t happen until just a few days before embarkation, and that’s perfectly okay. As long as everything is uploaded correctly, you’ll be all set when you arrive at the terminal.
I hope this helps as you
get everything squared away before your sailing. Once you upload the new photo, it will simply go back through the review process and you should be all set for embarkation day. Before long, you’ll be walking down the gangway, hearing your family name announced, and officially beginning your Disney cruise adventure.
Sea ya real soon as springtime magic begins to ripple across the water,
Dustin
