How to I change a card linked to my hotel

Hi there, Bette! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for taking a moment to send us your question. It looks like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is happening right now! Let's get you the info you need so you can get back to the magic!

One of the many things that make staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel a practically perfect choice is being able to charge purchases you make right back to your room. It's so easy and convenient, and it's also a great way to watch your budget, since you can track all of your charges in your My Disney Experience account.

If you're at Walt Disney World right now, I think the most hassle-free way to change the credit card you've assigned for your purchases is to visit the front desk of your Resort hotel and ask a Cast Member to swap the card out for you. That way, there shouldn't be any hiccups from charges you've already made during your stay.

There's also a way to change your credit card using the My Disney Experience app on your phone. Here's how you do it:

    - Click on the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner of your screen.
    - Scroll down to "My Profile."
    - Go to "Payment Method."
    - Click on "Edit Payment Method" to change to a new card. Just note that this card will also be used for things like making dining reservations and paying for any Mobile Ordering meals you may grab in the Theme Parks or your Resort hotel.

Bette, have you done any souvenir shopping yet? My son is a huge Donald Duck fan, so we got him a Donald plush from the adorable new Disney nuiMOs collection the last time we visited Walt Disney World. I'm in love with them! And be sure to check out planDisney's Panel Extras for some of the panelists' favorite must-get items to bring the magic home with us!

I hope this helps you get all the details of your vacation in order, Bette. And I hope you're having a fabulous time at Walt Disney World! Have a Mickey waffle for me, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
