How do I change the battery in the Beauty & the Beast Enchanted Sipper Cup? I’ve open the compartment where the battery goes. However my dilemma is the batteries sit in a prong like structure. Thank you.

Hi there, Elena! It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I welcome you to planDisney. Now, I invite you to relax. Let me pull up a chair as I proudly present... an answer to your question!

I was also lucky enough to get my hands on the Beauty & the Beast Enchanted Rose sipper cup at the Walt Disney World Resort back in 2017, and it has been one of my go-to glassware items ever since. Nothing beats showing up at the office or school with such a rare collectible item! I love all the compliments I get every single time I leave my house with it, and I bet you do too. So, without further ado, let's put my service to the test and see if I can help you change your cup's batteries!

Elena, I thankfully kept the sipper cup's instruction manual for a moment just like this one. According to the directions, you need to:

    1. Pull the Cap from the Lid
    2. Unscrew the silver Phillips nail
    3. Remove plastic board
    4. Turn upside down & replace with 3 LR1130H batteries by sliding them out with the screwdriver
    5. Repeat process in reverse to complete

Since you've already completed the first step, all you need to do is find that tiny nail and follow the rest of the instructions. However, I will tell you that I tried this myself and it's super hard to do! I would advise you to be very patient and careful in order to avoid breaking any pieces off, since you definitely don't want to end up with a cracked cup. If you've tried following all the steps to no avail, I would encourage you to keep it as is. The light is super cute, but it's not worth breaking the cup for!

Elena, I sincerely hope that you're able to change the batteries without any issues. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to me! Always remember that my command is your request, and I'm always more than happy to help.

    Cheers,

    Ana Paula
