Hi Latoya! Welcome to planDisney!
Your
Walt Disney World trip will be here before you know it! October is a great time of year to visit, especially since the temperatures tend to be more favorable during this time. There is also the Halloween season to look forward to and all the wonderful fall decorations to take in. You are bound to have a magical time!
Making changes to your ticket package will depend on how you booked your stay. If you booked them as part of a vacation package that includes your Disney Resorts Hotel reservation, then you are required to purchase a minimum of 2-day park tickets. In order to change this, you'll need to
call the Walt Disney World Resort and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will need to remove your park tickets from your package and turn it into a room-only reservation. Then, you'll need to purchase single-day park tickets separately from your resort reservation. This ticket will be nonrefundable and nontransferable.
If you happened to already
book 2-day park tickets separately and not part of a vacation package, you will not be able to change this purchase. As mentioned before, park tickets purchased a-la-carte are nonrefundable tickets. It doesn't sound like this is the case based on your question, but I wanted to make you aware of this possibility.
Latoya, once you get this squared away with a Walt Disney World Cast Member, I'm excited for you to start planning your visit! I suggest following along with the
Disney Parks Blog over the coming months to stay up to date on any news and announcements. New and returning experiences are popping up all over the parks and resorts, so it will be interesting to see what is available during your visit!
Happy planning!
Greg
