Hiya, Sara! I'm so glad you found the second star to the right and followed it straight on to planDisney.
I'm thrilled to hear that you'll be visiting
Walt Disney World Resort soon! You'll be able to enjoy The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of year. I'd love to help you make sure that all of your plans are ready to go before you arrive!
The
Disability Access Service, or DAS, is intended for Guests who have difficulty waiting in a traditional queue due to a disability. Guests have two ways of registering: either in person, at
Guest Relations in the theme parks, or by
pre-registering through a live video chat. When pre-registering, Guests may be able to book up to two Disability Access Service (DAS) Advance one-hour return windows to be used on
select attractions during their visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Separately, Guests may additionally book same-day attractions with the
DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool in the
My Disney Experience app once the Guests have entered the theme parks that day.
Sara, once selections have been made with DAS Advance, they cannot be modified through the My Disney Experience app. If a Guest isn't able to experience that attraction during their one-hour time window, the selection simply drops off of your plans after it expires. However, return times that are selected for attractions with the DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool during your park visit do not expire and can be used up until the park closes for the day. In my personal experience, this self-selection tool is the best way to experience the attractions you're hoping for and tailor it around your schedule in the moment!
After speaking with a Cast Member, it's recommended that after DAS Advance selections have been made, they aren't intended to be changed or modified. This is to help Cast Members focus on new Guests who are registering for DAS. But Hakuna Matata – no worries! This is where the DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool can be helpful! However, if a Guest has already registered for DAS and is looking to make additional selections for other days in their trip, they will be able to request another live chat to speak with a Cast Member about these new selections.
I hope I was able to point you in the right direction, Sara! I'd also recommend taking a peek at the
