Hi there, I So ROCK! Welcome to planDisney. I hope you're having a beautiful day in sunny California. It sounds like you are planning for a visit to the Disneyland Resort, hopefully soon! There is so much magic in the air right now that your heart will skip a beat as soon as you hit Main Street, U.S.A.!
Since
Disneyland's reopening last year, all Guests are required to have both a theme park ticket as well as a theme park reservation to enter the parks. While the ticket arrives via email with a barcode to scan at the Main Entrance Gates, the reservation confirmation is delivered via email in the form of a QR code. I believe you are asking about changing your theme park reservation - I hope I've got that right! If not, feel free to follow up with me directly, and we can take another look at your question!
Even Mickey and Minnie know that plans can change, so you do have some flexibility when it comes to rescheduling your theme park reservation! To make changes, you will need to cancel your current reservation and book a fresh, new reservation. One thing to note is that reservations are subject to availability, so make sure you take a peek at the
theme park reservation calendar before making any changes. (Be sure to toggle to your ticket type - One Park Per Day, Park Hopper, or Annual Pass!) Here's a quick tutorial on how to make that change:
- Open up your Disneyland Mobile App and head to the "+" in the bottom navigation bar. Select "Make a Park Reservation". You can also use the website by tapping into "Ticket and Reservation Details" under the "Parks and Tickets" tab. Both will take you to the same page to continue.
- Next, select "View My Park Reservations" and then scroll down to the day you would like to change and tap "Cancel Reservation". Follow the prompts from here through to the cancellation confirmation page and tap that "Done" button at the bottom.
- You will be taken back to the "My Theme Park Reservations" page where you can select "Book Theme Park Reservations" and start the process anew!
Ok, now that we've settled your question and you are hopefully all set for your new date, let's see if we can add some magic to your day! Did you know that the Disneyland nighttime spectaculars are back?
World of Color,
Disneyland Forever fireworks, and even the
Main Street Electrical Parade are all igniting the night at our favorite parks. If your day does not allow time to stake out a spot early in the day on Main Street, U.S.A., not to worry! Try grabbing a spot back by"it's a small world"! It's usually a bit less crowded and provides a unique view of the fireworks and the parade! On May 28th,
Fantasmic! will once again light up the Rivers of America taking you through an epic tale of adventure, starring the one and only Mickey Mouse! I know for me, the return of these twilight shows has truly made the return to the magic complete!
I sure hope this was helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
