Greetings foolish mortal- I mean, welcome to planDisney Emily!
It sounds to me like you’re a fan of all things eerie, or at least keen on socializing with the spooky sort at your usual Disney haunts. You may have heard of happy haunts materializing around the
Haunted Mansion, and perhaps
one unhappy haunt in particular who is making his debut very soon, so as a fellow fan of the phantasmic I’m absolutely happy to shed some much needed light into this shadowy subject!
Now currently, guests attending
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party may be treated to the spectral sight of
Madame Carlotta who has resumed her usual spot from years past in the graveyard of the Haunted Mansion as she calls out to partygoers to regale them with her tales from the afterlife. (Earlier this year
she was joined by Madame Renata to spook and startle unsuspecting guests as they escaped the mansion into what they thought was the safety of Magic Kingdom Park.) Recently Madame Carlotta has been joined by the Butler and together they make appearances to guests from a distance; while you may not be able to approach them for a traditional Meet and Greet, they're happy to pose for photographs if your spectral photography skills are up to it!
You may have also seen
Constance Hatchaway (the ghostly bride in the attic with a penchant for always trying to get ahead) make an appearance at the Haunted Mansion World Premiere at Disneyland Resort and though she does not have a set Meet and Greet either, you may be able to spot her in
Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party leading a unit of dreadfully eerie dancing couples. So in the end though there aren't really any new Haunted Mansion Meet and Greet experiences, I do recommend keeping an eye on a certain special spot immediately adjacent to the Endless Hallway and the shifty suit of armor - I just got off the ride this afternoon and there definitely seems to be some special paranormal activity afoot behind a few curtains! It does seem like we'll definitely have our doom buggies coming fairly close to meeting the
Hatbox Ghost in the very near future. I hope this helps Emily, be sure to
