If you need to
adjust the dates of your Disney Resort hotel reservation, you'll want to do so as soon as possible for the best availability. If you booked directly through Walt Disney World Resort, the type of reservation you booked will depend on whether you'll need to do this through the website or by phone. If you do modify your reservation, a helpful Cast Member just shared that this would also impact the beginning of your
7-day window for Lightning Lane purchases. Because of this, you should receive a secondary email after your new booking confirmation acknowledging the change in your dates and letting you know that your Lightning Lane selections have been canceled. Because Lightning Lane purchases are nonrefundable per Walt Disney World Resort policy, the purchase will stay in your account, and once you have entered the booking window for your modified dates you'll be able to make your new selections for the original purchase.
I'm sure this isn't what you were hoping to hear, especially if you were able to snag some of the most coveted Lightning Lanes (like Slinky Dog Dash) in your initial booking, but there's always a chance you'll be able to secure them again. If your initial preferences aren't immediately available when your new window opens, I encourage you to keep checking back as availability is constantly changing. I've even been able to secure same-day return windows for some of the most popular attractions!
