Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ellen!
My family and I use the
Disney Dining Plan pretty much every time we travel to Walt Disney World Resort, and one of the reasons it works really well for us is because of how flexible it is. We love being able to pick our favorites from the menu, tap our
MagicBands to redeem our Dining Plan credits, and enjoy our meals!
I'm pleased to tell you that there really aren't restrictions on what menu items you can choose when you redeem a Dining Plan credit at a participating dining location. For the most part, if it's listed as an entrée, you can have it! Sometimes there are exceptions, and an entrée will be excluded or requires a surcharge on top of your Dining Plan credit but that's pretty rare and it will be clearly marked on the menu. Of course, if you have any questions in the moment, you can always ask a friendly Disney Cast Member who will be happy to let you know which entrées are eligible. I really love that there's that much freedom and flexibility when you use the Dining Plan, because it means that everyone can just relax and order whatever they want to eat without having to worry about the price of the meal.
There are a few places we always keep going back to because of how great of a deal it is on the Dining Plan. For instance, my family can't stay away from
Flame Tree Barbecue at
Disney's Animal Kingdom. There's a Ribs, Chicken, and Pulled Pork Sampler there that my husband and I can easily share for one Quick-Service credit. That leaves us with an extra Quick-Service credit for that day to head over to
Satu'li Canteen in
Pandora - The World of Avatar to share a delicious Chili-Garlic Shrimp Bowl!
I hope this answers your question, Ellen, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
