    Are there certain arrival and departure days of the week that will be cheaper to travel? We will be travelling in October 2012, staying 5 or 6 nights. I keep playing around with the dates in the system, but wondering if anyone could give me any tips.

    Hi Laura,

    Higher hotel rates are charged on Friday and Saturday nights. You can save a lot by arriving on a Sunday!

    Airfare, however, is usually less expensive to fly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Very early flights in the morning and late evening flights are usually less expensive.

    I would figure out which will be your largest cost - hotel vs. airfare. Then try to match your travel dates to get the best rates.
