Are there certain areas of POR that have 5th sleeper rooms or are they spread throughout the resort?

    Hi Lisa!

Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's been a while since we last saw you, but we're so glad that you brought this fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR!

I have so many fond memories of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and I'm excited for your family to stay in this little piece of heaven on the bayou. The answer is yes, certain sections of this resort hotel contain 5th sleeper rooms, and yes they are a bit spread out, ha! I'm linking a map of Riverside. Once it loads, find the blue arrow marker in the center; that's the main building where you'll find the Resort Lobby, the Riverside Mill Food Court, etc. If we were to pretend that the main building was the center of an analogue clock, then the kind of cluster of buildings starting around 9 and spread out until about 12:30 are the sections where you'll find the 5th sleeper rooms. This section of the resort is known as Alligator Bayou, whereas the "U" and "H" shaped buildings from about 1 until 6 on our fictitious clock are in the Magnolia Bend area. These buildings look like Southern plantation style mansions and feature only Royal Rooms.

I'd say at least half of the rooms in each building within the Alligator Bayou section of this resort have the child-sized pull-down beds. And yes, there are 5th sleeper rooms in all of these buildings, even the preferred buildings, and in all of the various views.

Did you know that Guests staying at Riverside are able to swim in the pool at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, and vis versa? There's a 15 minute gorgeous walking path between the two resort hotels, and all you'll need to do to pool hop is to scan your MagicBand. Don't forget to bring your Resort Refill Mugs from your Disney Dining Plan as you'll be able to refresh at this resort too!

I hope this helped to better plan your upcoming Disney Days, Lisa, and We'll See You Real Soon!
