Hi Zach, welcome to planDisney!
I truly believe the
Disneyland Resort is one of the best places to take pictures, so I completely understand the need to bring the best equipment to make that happen! Selfie sticks (hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices) are on the
list of non-permittable items at
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. BUT GREAT NEWS! Gimbal stabilizers are allowed if they do not extend. If they do extend, then they could fall under the category of "hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices" and could potentially not be allowed in the parks.
And since we're on the topic of pictures, I do want to mention that if you use the
Disney Genie+ Service, in addition to getting access to the
Lightning Lane entrances at certain attractions, you also get to enjoy unlimited
Disney PhotoPass Digital Downloads. Cool right? I think you might prefer to take your own pictures, given that you own a gimbal stabilizer, BUT the Disney PhotoPass Photographers do take amazing pictures. AND the Disney PhotoPass Photographers can do some very fun
Magic Shots! I'm a huge fan of Magic Shots, as they add fun elements like Disney Characters and other nifty surprises.
