What should I do with my cell phone & camera if we go on a water ride? I'm worried that they would get wet even in my purse.

    Hi Angelique,

This is one of those things that I worry about almost every time we go to Walt Disney World.  I'm happy to report that nothing has ever happened to my cell phone or camera, and really, there are only a couple of attractions that get you THAT wet - Splash Mountain & Kali River Rapids.

I recommend carrying a large Ziploc type plastic bag that can easily fold up in your purse.  Before you go on an attraction where you may get wet, stick your phone & camera inside the bag, and place the bag inside your purse.

Also, Kali River Rapids has a storage area in the center of the raft that keeps things fairly dry.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
