Can I use my cell phone bill as proof of Florida residency?

    Hiya Christina,

Welcome to planDisney! The latest Florida resident special offer has me rushing online to purchase property in the Sunshine State. It has long been on my bucket list to move back to Florida permanently so that I can be closer to the magic.

As you mentioned, you must show at least one valid form of Florida residency to purchase, activate, and use Florida Resident theme park tickets.  While a Florida Driver’s license or state-issued ID card with a Florida address is the most common form, you can present certain bills (that show a valid Florida address) as proof. The official policy mentions phone bills, but when I spoke to a couple of Cast Members, they were split on whether this includes cell phones. My advice is to bring your cell phone bill and an additional form just in case that isn’t sufficient. Just make sure that whatever you bring is dated within the past two months and includes your full name and Florida address.

Before I let you go, did you know you could bring your residency electronically? This comes in handy if your cell phone bill isn’t accepted! When I was in graduate school in Florida, something similar happened to me, and having my backup proof saved on my phone quickly verified my residency so I could head into the park.

    Happy Planning!
