Hi, Kristyn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!
My sister-in-law, who adheres to a gluten-free diet, often travels with us and we are always pleasantly surprised with all the food options available to her at the parks. Most, if not all, dining establishments at the Disneyland Resort offer
allergy-friendly menus upon request. You can even view these menus for most quick service locations online and on the
Disneyland app. Furthermore, you can ask to speak to a chef or specially-trained Cast Member at any restaurant to discuss which options are gluten free.
Some favorites around the parks include the shrimp and grits at Cafe Orleans which is naturally gluten free and absolutely scrumptious. I had this dish during my last visit to the parks and nearly licked the plate clean! At Wine Country Trattoria in Disney California Adventure Park, they offer a few varieties of gluten free pasta that you can substitute for most dishes. When you
make your dining reservations in advance, be sure to note the gluten allergy.
For quick service, you can almost always substitute a gluten free bun for burgers and sandwiches and get allergy-friendly fries or choose restaurants that are mostly gluten-free by nature like Lucky Fortune Cookery (rice bowls with gluten-free soy sauce) and Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill (corn tortillas are an easy choice).
Finally, for snacks, my absolute favorite is the pineapple Dole Whip which is gluten and dairy free! Or if a cookie sounds better, try the IncrediCookie at Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums. This is a gluten-friendly cookie with blackberry jam filling. Yum!
I hope you have a delicious time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
