Hi Ashley!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with a great question about celebrating the 4th of July at Walt Disney World Resort!
Ashley, we haven’t heard any official announcements about the 4th of July plans at the parks just yet, but I can share a bit about past offerings. Typically, you’ll find
a special fireworks show at Magic Kingdom Park on the 4th and sometimes even on the days surrounding the holiday. I was at Magic Kingdom for the 4th of July weekend several years ago and the display was incredible! Disney chefs have also found ways to celebrate with some limited-time, patriotic food and drink offerings unique to the holiday. Last year, there was even a flyover by the U.S. Air Force above Cinderella Castle! I’d recommend keeping a close eye on the
Disney Parks Instagram page or other official social media channels as well as the
Disney Parks Blog over the next few days and weeks for the latest announcements about what to expect this year!
The 4th of July isn’t the only thing to celebrate this summer in the parks! I hope you’ll have a chance to ride
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure during your visit. While some special previews are currently taking place, it officially opens for all guests on June 28, 2024. Initially, a standby line will not be available so you’ll want to try and grab a
Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane entry with
Disney Genie+ service to join this party! When you visit EPCOT, you'll also want to check out
CommuniCore Hall & Plaza which opened just this week for guests and features a character greeting space with Mickey and friends as well as
¡Celebración Encanto! - a fun fiesta!
Ashley, I hope you enjoy celebrating the 4th at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other vacation planning questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Cheers,
Kristi
