Hi, Fay! Happy Anniversary! I am a fan of Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I had the chance to dine there with my fellow Moms Panelists, and I cannot wait to take my husband there to enjoy it as well!
While there are selections for the kids (pizza, grilled cheese, pb&J) at Jiko, how about a romantic dinner for 2? Simba's Clubhouse is located inside the Animal Kingdom Lodge and is a great place for kids to play, make crafts, and even have dinner. You can have a nice, leisurely dinner while your kids are having a blast! For more information on the Children's Activity Centers, click

You can make reservations for your kids when you book your Advance Dining Reservations at (407)WDW-DINE. The cost for Simba's Clubhouse is about $11.25 per hour per child, but you can confirm the cost when you reserve a space. If you have specific questions about Simba's Clubhouse, call them directly at (407)938-4785. (Make sure you ask what time dinner is served for the kids so you can coordinate your reservations!)
So back to your original question - I like the food more at Jiko. There is plenty on the kids menu for your little mouseketeers here, but they might enjoy a "night out" at the Club! Have fun and enjoy your anniversary.
