Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood at the top of Gran Destino Tower at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is such a beautiful location to celebrate your wife's birthday! I love tapas-style dining and this location does it very well. And the restaurant is just stunning. Make sure you explore the rest of the Gran Destino Tower before or after your meal. Perhaps a drink at the
Dahlia Lounge? Trust me when I say that this tower is exquisite, with its Spanish influences and
Salvador Dali-inspired touches. Did you know that Walt Disney collaborated with this world-renowned artist on a short film called "
Destino," which is where this tower got its name? You should definitely watch it before your visit and then hunt for the details in the tower!
Complimentary desserts and surprises cannot be guaranteed as they are just that...surprises! When checking into your dining reservation on the
My Disney Experience mobile app, be sure to select the occasion you are celebrating as a birthday (or let the host know if you check in in person). It also wouldn't hurt to ask at the
Front Desk of your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel (or a
Guest Relations location outside of one of the theme parks) for a Celebration Button to announce that it's her birthday! While not complimentary, if you want to guarantee a special dessert for the occasion, you can
arrange for a specialty cake!
Near Gran Destino Tower, right over Villa del Lago, is a very unique lounge called
Three Bridges Bar and Grill. This is such a charming spot with some very tasty drink and food options. While these options can change, I have heard great things about the
White Queso Dip, the Warm Churros, and the Tres Leches. Plus, who could say no to a Sangria Flight? Certainly not me!
