Celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary while at WDW this year. Thinking about surprising my wife with a carriage ride along the Sossagoula River. Will our family of 6 (2 adults and sons age 7,5,2,inf.) fit? How much time should I plan from DTD to POR?

    Hello Steven,

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! A trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is a wonderful way to celebrate the occasion and a Carriage Ride along the Sassagoula River will add a "pixie dusted" touch to your special day! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Anniversary" Celebration Recognition Button when you check-in at your Resort or you can get one at Guest Services at any of the Theme Parks. It's so much fun to share your celebration with Cast Members and Guests!

Carriages can accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. Since there are six of you, you will need to call (407) 939-7529 to see if your infant would be considered as part of the maximum number allowed and able to sit on your lap. Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling the same number as I mentioned above.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is just a quick ferryboat ride from the Downtown Disney Area. Boats generally run every 15 to 20 minutes and then you'll have about a 15 minute ride to the Resort.

I hope this information helps. Please let us know if you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Enjoy Your Magical Visit,
