We're celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Disney World in November, 2013. We want to combine a Disney Cruise with a 5-7 day stay at Disney World with theme park visits and golfing. Where would you suggest we stay?

    Hi Jane!

This sounds like a spectacular trip!  I recommend going to Walt Disney World first and then the cruise as I think it will be more relaxing that way.  Walt Disney World is huge and there is a lot of walking around!

I definitely recommend staying in a Disney Deluxe Resort if your budget allows.  My favorite is the Wilderness Lodge, because I love the atmosphere there.  My second favorite is the Beach Club, which is an Epcot area resort and about a five minute walk away from Epcot.  I also suggest considering a Magic Kingdom monorail resort:  the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, and the Contemporary (including Bay Lake Tower).

If you think you will be spending a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom, then I definitely recommend staying in the Wilderness Lodge or on the Magic Kingdom monorail line.  Being on the monorail line also gives you easy access to Epcot, a more adult oriented park.  Of the three monorail resorts, my favorite is the Polynesian.  I think it has a great theme and it is the most romantic resort at Walt Disney World.  That might be perfect for your 40th wedding anniversary.

I hope this helps to get you started!  Write back with more quesitons!
