Hi Natalie!
Welcome back to planDisney! What a magical way to celebrate not one, but TWO, birthdays!
My family has been lucky enough to celebrate our
birthdays at Disney World over the years, too, so let’s chat about some of my favorite ways to celebrate.
First of all, you’re right! You’ll definitely want to make sure you grab a celebratory pin from the front desk of your Disney World resort or Guest Relations. The Cast Members love to wish Guests a Happy Birthday whenever they see the pin.
For a fun surprise,
Magical Floral and Gifts can send personalized gifts and decorations right to your room. And you can even order a speciality Mickey Mouse celebration cake at select table service restaurants around Disney World. You’ll place your order for the cake when making the reservation. Here’s a
link to the full list of participating restaurants.
My personal favorite way to celebrate birthdays at Disney World, though, is by reserving a special dining experience or Enchanting Extra (pending availability). Just something a little bit above and beyond our norm to make the day extra special!
For a fancier birthday meal, I recommend
California Grill at the Contemporary, followed by watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the patio there. It’s such a unique view!
For a more laid-back, fun birthday meal, my go-to is
Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness. My family laughs throughout their entire meal, and from my experience, they have a little portion of the show that recognizes all the birthdays in the audience.
If you’re thinking about going the Enchanting Extra route to celebrate, my top recommendations would be a
Capture Your Moment photo session to commemorate the trip or something special during the fireworks, whether that’s a
fireworks cruise,
fireworks dessert party at Magic Kingdom, or
fireworks dining package at Epcot.
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us!
