Hi Amy,
Welcome to planDisney, and let me be the first to say “Happy Birthday” to your family members celebrating during your visit! As someone who grew up visiting
The Most Magical Place On Earth for my own birthday celebrations, I can promise you that the core memories created will last a lifetime. From the excitement of first visits to the joy of birthdays, these moments will genuinely be ones to treasure.
To make your family’s celebration even more special, start with the complimentary Celebration Buttons available at your
Disney Resort Collection hotel front desk or Guest Relations locations throughout the parks. These buttons are an excellent way to let Cast Members and fellow Guests join in the fun by sending warm birthday greetings or welcoming your first-time visitor.
For a delightful dining experience, consider a
character dining meal tailored to your group’s favorite Disney pals. If Mickey and his friends are at the top of your list,
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort will bring smiles to everyone’s faces. For fans of Winnie the Pooh and his Hundred-Acre Wood pals, breakfast at
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom is an option. If your family adores characters like Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Princess Tiana,
1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a great choice. There’s truly something for every birthday honoree!
To add even more magic to the festivities, consider some of the incredible
Enchanting Extras available. Surprise your loved ones with an in-room celebration featuring cakes, balloons, or flowers arranged right through
Disney Floral & Gifts. For an unforgettable evening, reserve a spot at a
dessert party with spectacular views of a nighttime fireworks display. Book a
Capture Your Moment photo session to commemorate your visit with a personalized photoshoot led by a Disney PhotoPass photographer for a picture-perfect keepsake.
One of my favorite suggestions is to head to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to grab something delicious from Capt. Cook’s or Kona Cafe. Then, stop by Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto to enjoy one of their fun-themed cocktails. Once you’re ready, go to the resort’s beautiful white sand beaches, find a cozy Adirondack chair, and settle in to watch the Happily Ever After fireworks over the waters of Seven Seas Lagoon. The music is piped in along the beach, creating a one-of-a-kind experience that combines the fireworks' magic with the Polynesian's serene charm. It’s a unique way to enjoy the show and a memory you’ll treasure forever!
I hope these ideas help point you in the right direction. If you have any more questions,
feel free to stop by again.
Cheers,
Brent
