planDisney, and thank you so much for bringing us such a special question. Celebrating your son’s 13th birthday at
Walt Disney World Resort sounds absolutely magical, and I’m delighted to help you add a little extra pixie dust to your plans.
The great news is that you can absolutely add your son’s birthday to your reservation so that Cast Members know you’ll be celebrating during your stay. You can do this yourself on the Walt Disney World website by logging into your My Disney account and heading to the “
My Plans” section. From there, simply select your hotel reservation, click on “Modify Reservation,” and you’ll see the option to “Add a Celebration.” Enter your son’s birthday, save the update, and just like that, your celebration will be officially noted on your reservation.
If you’d prefer to speak with someone directly, you can also
call the Walt Disney World Tickets and Hotel Reservations hotline, and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to add the birthday celebration for you. Either way, your son’s birthday will be tied to your stay.
Here’s the extra magical part, Jenny Lyn! Once your celebration is noted, you’ll see a special birthday greeting appear on your Resort room TV as soon as you open the door after check-in. It’s such a fun and personal touch to start the trip off on a high note. And while it’s never guaranteed, Cast Members sometimes sprinkle in a little extra magic for birthday Guests, so you never know what surprises might be waiting behind that door.
