Hi! Celebrating my son's 9th birthday (a week late) during our June visit and I was wondering which experience you would recommend for his birthday celebration... Mickey's BBQ or the Pirates & Pals Firework Voyage? Is it acceptable to celebrate at bo

    Hi Amber!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ and the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage are two totally different experiences and they are both fantastic!  Without knowing your son's interests, it's difficult to suggest which one would be better for him.  While I do love Mickey's Backyard BBQ, I think the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage has more of a "wow' factor.

Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage includes snacks and some delicious desserts as well as character interaction with Hook and Smee before heading out for the voyage.  You get a great view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular and some on-board entertainment and trivia before heading back to the marina.  It's a great way to end an evening.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is just plain fun.  The BBQ dishes are delicious and the character interaction is fantastic.  The kids have such a great time dancing with Mickey and his friends.  Keep in mind that it will most likely warm in June, even at night, and this is an outdoor event.

Part of your last question was cut off, but if you are asking if it's acceptable to celebrate with both of these options, my answer is always YES!

    Have a magical day!
