    I will be celebrating my sons 6 th birthday at wd this will be are 1st time going,what do you like we should do to make his day special and should we do this on our first day or on his birthday?

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

    I have a 9 year old son and when he was 6 years old, a couple of his favorite things outside of the attractions in the theme parks were:
    • Dining at Chef Mickey's
    • The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue (though he might have been unusual)
    • Going out with Mom or Dad on a Sea Raycer on Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake
    • Hanging out in the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon

    I definitely suggest doing a Disney Character Dining Experience on his birthday.  Chef Mickey's is great but other good ones are Ohana and Cape May Cafe for breakfast, 1900 Park Fare, and the Garden Grill in Epcot for dinner.

    Whatever you do, be sure to pick up a Birthday Button in Guest Services.  Your son can wear it for the entire trip, not just on his birthday.
