We will be celebrating my sons 5th birthday at Walt Disney World in Nov I would like to have dinner with Mickey Mouse or Woody an buzz should I make reservations this far out.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Veronica!

Enjoying a meal with your favorite characters is a great way to enjoy some yummy food and get some great pictures with your favorite Characters all while avoiding the queues of traditional Character Meet 'n' Greets. In fact, I just got through the process of making our reservations to have dinner with Mickey! Since you would like to enjoy your son's birthday celebration with Mickey, I would recommend getting a reservation at Chef Mickey's. Since it is located in Disney's Contemporary Resort, transportation is fast and convenient since it is an easy walk from Magic Kingdom. Plus, the buffet is sure to feature something everyone in the family can enjoy. Check out this post from my fellow panelist Missy that lists all of the table-service options where you can enjoy Mickey Mouse's company!

All Character Dining, particularly those featuring the main Mouse, tend to book very quickly. So I recommend booking your meal as soon as possible. You can make your reservations using the My Disney Experience website, but if you make your reservations by calling the dining specialists at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463, you can note your son's birthday celebration on your reservation! Reservations open 180 days in advance, so for your November vacation, your window will open very soon. (For early November, reservations are already open!)

Unfortunately, Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody are not currently featured in any Character Dining meals, however you can meet them at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!

Hi! I’m Crystal and I’m a wife and mommy to three little Mouseketeers. My husband and I have been enjoying Disney Parks since before we were married, and now we take our children to see Mickey and the gang as often as we can, while  managing my oldest son's food allergies. Planning is key for my family to ensure that everyone has a safe and fun trip to our favorite place and it can be just as exciting as the trip itself. I can’t wait to help you plan your next adventure there, too! Learn More About Crystal
