Celebrating my son's 1st birthday, what special things can I take him to while at Magic Kingdom?

A Happy upcoming Birthday to your son, Rochelle! Thank you for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for help in planning your special trip. There are a few extra fun things you can do to celebrate the big day!

By stopping by your hotel front desk, you can receive free Birthday or “I’m Celebrating” buttons for your entire party to wear. Customize them with a sharpie and your name for more fun; Cast Members and Guests alike will be wishing you a Happy Birthday, all day long! If your son hasn’t yet has his first haircut, you can make a special First Haircut appointment at the Harmony Barber Shop, complete with a pair of Mickey Ears to mark the occasion.

If you bring along an autograph book, you can have Characters sign the book with birthday wishes to your son. It makes quite the keepsake along with your Memory Maker photos! For the ultimate birthday gift, Disney Floral and Gifts has some amazing surprises for the birthday boy; they can be put in your room for a magical reveal. I adore my Minnie Mouse Tote I received for Mother’s Day from my husband; it let me bring the magic home with me!

Of course, at many Table Service restaurants, a complimentary birthday cupcake may be offered, but check with your server for more details. I wish you the most magical vacation! ~Lindsey P.
