We will be celebrating my son's 6th birthday in the Magic Kingdom on Dec. 1. Can we still order a cake for our dinner reservation? With Covid restrictions, are they still offering in-room celebration packages?

Welcome to planDisney, Mary! How exciting that you're planning on celebrating your son's 6th birthday next week at Walt Disney World Resort. It's my dream to wake up at the Most Magical Place On Earth on my birthday and it's so cool that your little Mouseketeer is about to have his own dream come true!

Mary, I'm pleased to tell you that Mickey Mouse Celebration Cakes are still available to be ordered at Table-Service restaurants. If you want a cake with your meal, you only need to ask at the podium when you're checking in for your dinner reservation. The patisserie Cast Members can even inscribe "Happy Birthday" onto one of Mickey's ears so everyone knows what you're celebrating! The cake serves four to six people so it's perfect for enjoying at the table and bringing the leftovers back to your room for a midnight snack.

If you want to keep the celebration going, you can order an in-room celebration from Disney Floral and Gifts, a service that has recently returned as part of the phased reopening process. There are special birthday gifts, festive balloons, and lots of other options to make your son's day special. The super creative Christmas trees are one of my favorite items and perfect for someone who is celebrating a birthday during the holiday season.

I hope this answers your questions, Mary, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
